Recording and Rejoicing

Just finished a film score for a sci-fi short Rahab starring David Oyelowo (Interstellar, Rise of The Planet of The Apes), directed by Rob McLellan and produced by Footprint films (Africa United). It was┬ápremiered at Pinewood Studios and we’ve had screenings around the world. It soon got passed around the Hollywood dogs and now it’s going to be made into an epic Sci-Fi feature film! So the bells are ringing out here. Here’s the short:

Whilst rejoicing, I’m just recording piano for our band’s second album. It’s a lovely, old upright piano in Parr St Studios – the same piano Chris Martin (coldplay) wrote ‘Yellow’ on, apparently! I’m also mid-writing all the string arrangements for the songs too, ready for recording the Liverpool philharmonic next month. Can’t wait.

Alongside all this, I’m also rejoicing about a book I wrote 5 years ago that has finally made it through to publishing. It’s my mothers life story, in short: she was kidnapped from her village in Colombia aged 5, left for dead in the Jungle where she had to survive on her own for 5 years with wild animals…the story gets more unbelievable after that, but you’ll have to wait and see. It’s out April 2013 so will keep you posted.

Right off to write rock strings!

Are there news on this music video? How long will we have to wait? (I know, I’m too impatient…)

    • Hi Renato, thanks for your comment. Things always get delayed! We just shot the band music video a few days ago, now onto post-production, so maybe looking at August. Our band facebook page is: for more info. As for piano compositions, there is a video coming up for that too, but that’s looking a lot further off still. I will post it up on here, or my facebook music page too. All the best!
